Settlers burn 8 homes and 20 vehicles in the West Bank in one week

The OIC Media Observatory on Israeli Crimes Against Palestinians recorded the killing of 18 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank between March 17 and 23, 2026, in addition to the injury of 79 others. The total number of Palestinians killed between October 7, 2023, and March 23, 2026, reached 73,397, and the number of wounded reached 182,461.

During the days of Eid al-Fitr, the occupation forces killed 16 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and injured 66. Palestinians there were subjected to shelling by the occupation forces in Khan Yunis and the Nuseirat camp. The OIC Observatory also recorded an incident of torture committed by occupation soldiers near the Maghazi camp, in which a child no more than eighteen months old was the victim after cigarette butts were extinguished on his body and he was stabbed in the leg with a sharp instrument. The child’s father was arrested, and the child was handed over to the Red Cross.

Regarding attacks on mosques and holy sites, the Israeli occupation forces closed the doors of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque to worshippers throughout the aforementioned period, and banned two Palestinians from Al-Aqsa for 14 days, in addition to closing the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. They also restricted the number of worshippers in the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, raided the mosque in the village of Ajja in Jenin during the Eid al-Fitr prayer, and settlers attacked an Islamic cemetery in the village of Umm Safa in Ramallah.

West Bank cities and villages were subjected to 302 Israeli raids, during which Israeli occupation forces arrested 142 Palestinians, killed two, and injured 13 others. They also demolished one house and occupied two others. Settlers seized two houses in Jerusalem and set fire to eight others. Occupation forces bulldozed land west of the town of Beita and 20,000 square meters of land in the village of Yabrud, uprooting olive trees. They also ordered the uprooting of olive trees in the town of Hizma in Jerusalem, and the removal of trees from hundreds of thousands of square meters in the towns of Azzun, Beit Ur al-Tahta, and Kafr Thulth, both located on either side of the separation wall in Qalqilya. They confiscated a bulldozer, money, and gold jewelry, imposed a curfew on the Old City of Hebron, and forced shop owners to close their businesses.

Regarding attacks on children, Israeli occupation forces killed one child and arrested four others. Settlers assaulted two children in Nablus and Jericho. Additionally, settlers stormed a girls’ school in the village of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya after breaking down its main gate, tore down the Palestinian flag, and damaged school property.

The number of settler attacks on Palestinian cities and villages reached 121 attacks, during which they released their livestock 12 times in lands in Ramallah, Hebron and Nablus, uprooted olive saplings, bulldozed lands planted with olive trees, cut olive tree branches in more than one village, damaged irrigation networks in Ramallah, Nablus and Qalqilya, damaged an electrical current in Nablus, damaged agricultural greenhouses, damaged the contents of an agricultural room, burned 20 vehicles, a bus, a truck, a scrap yard for used vehicles, trees, an agricultural room, a tourist tent and a medical clinic, stole sheep several times and a horse, and damaged a number of vehicles, in addition to closing roads and directly assaulting Palestinians by beating and randomly firing throughout the past week.

The Israelis carried out 5 settlement activities on Palestinian lands, during which settlers re-erected new tents on lands east of Salfit, bulldozed lands planted with olive trees in the village of Mikhmas, and in the village of Deir al-Hatab in Nablus, and seized a sheep pen and put their sheep inside it in the town of Al-Dhahiriya in Hebron, while the occupation forces bulldozed confiscated lands with an area of ​​830,000 square meters belonging to the villages of Shufa, Safarin and Jbara, in Tulkarm to establish an industrial zone, bringing the total number of Israeli crimes in seven days to 979 crimes in various Palestinian areas.
