Based on Article No. (10) of the final Communique adopted by the Joint Arab Islamic Summit, held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, November 11, 2023, which stipulates the establishment of a media monitoring unit to document all crimes of the occupation authorities against the Palestinian people, alongside digital media platforms to publish and expose their illegitimate and inhuman practices, the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) issues the first weekly bulletin on the crimes and massacres committed by Israel, the occupying authority, against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the cities of the West Bank, and the Holy City of Al-Quds.

The number of martyrs during the period between January 23 and 29, 2024 was (1,348) martyrs, all of whom were killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of aerial and artillery bombardment against the cities of Gaza, Rafah, and Khan Yunis, with the exception of six martyrs who were killed in West Bank cities, while the number of wounded in the Gaza Strip and some West Bank cities reached to (2413).

In addition, the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque was subjected to daily incursions by extremists, and Israel, the occupying power, imposed restrictions on worshipers last Friday, January 26, 2024. The occupation forces continued the wave of arrests over the past week, reaching (204) arrests, primarily in the cities of Al-Khalil (Hebron), Ramallah, Jenin, and Qalqilya in the West Bank.

The cities of the West Bank were also frequently attacked by settlers, as most of these attacks were carried out in the cities of Nablus, Al-Khalil (Hebron), Bethlehem, and Ariha (Jericho), and the number of these attacks reached 23.

According to the Observatory’s statistics, the total number of Israeli violations against the Palestinian people over the aforementioned period amounted to about (4,217) violations, ranging from killing, wounding, and arresting Palestinian citizens, attacks on places of worship, demolition of property, incursions, closure of crossings, and construction of roadblocks and checkpoints on the roads leading to Palestinian villages, towns and cities, attacks by settlers, in addition to the confiscation of Palestinian lands, shooting, and the establishment of settlement outposts.
