On March 13, Israeli occupation forces removed six tents that had been sheltering 40 displaced Palestinians. These Palestinians had been forced to flee their homes, which were part of two residential buildings demolished by Israeli forces on February 12, 2026, in the village of Qalqas, near the settlement of Hagai in the Hebron Governorate of the West Bank. While the occupation forces typically cite the lack of building permits when demolishing Palestinian homes, the removal of these tents, erected to expand an illegal settlement, confirms that Israel is pursuing a policy of ethnic cleansing and settler colonialism.
