On February 3, 2026, Israeli occupation forces issued new orders to seal off five areas in the West Bank, as part of a policy of permanently siegeping areas off-limits to Palestinians. Israeli troops also established ten surprise checkpoints, further disrupting Palestinian movement. Meanwhile, settlers threw stones at Palestinian vehicles between the villages of Al-Mughayyir and Khirbet Abu Falah, near Ramallah, and on a road east of Beit Sahour, Bethlehem. Under these conditions, the daily commute between Palestinian villages and cities has become a perilous ordeal.
