For two days, Israeli settlers prevented water pump repair crews from accessing the site after damaging the pumps, thus cutting off water to residents in the eastern part of the village of al-Mughayyir, near Ramallah. On January 26, 2026, settlers attacked the area around the Ein Samia well, east of the village, damaged the water pumps, and prevented the Jerusalem Water Authority from repairing them. They did not stop there and returned on January 27, 2026, once again preventing the crews from working.
