Settlers routinely target water and electricity services in the West Bank. On January 14, 2026, settlers cut wires and power poles supplying Palestinian homes in the Shakara community in Nablus, and other settlers assaulted two employees of the Palestinian Water Authority while they were working to open water valves in the town of Idhna in Hebron. Israeli occupation forces also filled in two water wells and a water pond for agricultural purposes in the vicinity of Hebron.
