The Israeli occupation forces murdered, between September 30 and October 6, 1,106 Palestinians and injured 1,379 others. Consequently, and since October 7, 2023, to date, the number of Palestinian murdered has reached 68,208, while the number of injured stands at 178,853. The Israeli occupation army has continued its crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip for the second consecutive year, despite the announcement by US President Donald Trump to stop the war. Since October 7, 2023, Israel, the occupying power, has committed genocidal crimes that have led to the murder and injury of approximately a quarter of a million Palestinians, mostly women and children, in addition to thousands missing under the rubble. The aggression also resulted in the complete destruction of infrastructure, homes, hospitals, universities and schools, while exacerbating a famine that claimed the lives of more than 459 Palestinians, including 154 children.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Media Observatory for Israeli Crimes against Palestinians documented Israeli aircraft targeting the tents of displaced people east of Asdaa city, north of Khan Yunis. Israeli artillery also shelled gatherings of Palestinians in Wadi Gaza while they were waiting for humanitarian aid. In Gaza City, warplanes launched a series of raids on the Al-Sabra, Al-Jalaa, and Al-Thalathini neighborhoods, targeting residential buildings, resulting in injuries and widespread destruction. The occupation also completely destroyed Al-Azhar University as part of a systematic policy of targeting civilian facilities.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that Israeli ground, air, and naval bombardment has hit various areas of the Gaza Strip, particularly the Gaza and Deir al-Balah governorates, targeting shelters and tents housing displaced persons and aid sites. The office also documented 27 direct attacks on civil defense teams since October 2023, the most recent of which was an airstrike on a school in the Zeitoun neighborhood, which resulted in the death of one rescue worker and the injury of seven others while carrying out their humanitarian duties.

The humanitarian crisis has worsened catastrophically, with the per capita share of drinking water in Gaza falling below six liters per day, and only eight kitchens operating to provide limited meals for residents of the north. Medical sources have reported 455 deaths due to starvation and malnutrition, including 151 children, with 17,000 children suffering from severe malnutrition due to the lack of medicines and medical supplies.

The World Health Organization warned of the collapse of the health system, noting that three newborns in critical condition were transferred from Al-Helou Hospital to Al-Aqsa Hospital after the closure of intensive care units in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, called for the lifting of the Israeli ban on the agency’s activities, given the momentum toward a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

In the West Bank and occupied Al-Quds, Israeli occupation forces closed dozens of vital streets and roads in occupied Al-Quds, under the pretext of securing settler marches celebrating Yom Kippur, bringing citizens’ movement to a near-total standstill and disrupting their daily lives. They set up extensive checkpoints around the Old City and the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque. On the same day, 489 settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed mosque under the protection of occupation forces and performed provocative Talmudic rituals.

The Observatory documented the arrest of 144 Palestinians in the West Bank, while settler attacks reached 84.

In Hebron, Qalqilya, and Salfit, the occupation launched mass arrest campaigns that included children and citizens, and confiscated equipment and trucks. Meanwhile, the villages of Beit Iksa, Beit Ummar, and Kafr ad-Dik were subjected to attacks and construction restrictions. The occupation authorities also approved new settlement plans covering an area exceeding 35 dunams in Kafr Qaddum and 24 dunams in Beit Illu, as part of the expansion of settlements and the isolation of Palestinian villages.

In a new act of settler terrorism, settlers cut down more than 300 olive and almond trees in the town of Sa’ir in Hebron, while other groups burned vast areas of agricultural land. Settlers also stormed the Bab al-Rahma cemetery in Al-Quds, performing Talmudic rituals under the protection of the occupation. The UN Human Rights Office reported that the occupying forces detained two Palestinian children in Hebron, aged 6 and 8, while they were playing football, a scene that embodies the daily cruelty experienced by Palestinian children. It also documented the deaths of 562 aid workers since the beginning of the war, including 376 UN employees.

In another development, Israeli authorities seized 42 ships belonging to the Global Steadfastness Flotilla heading to Gaza and arrested hundreds of international activists participating in the attempt to break the blockade, in clear violation of international maritime law and the right of peoples to receive humanitarian aid.

The total number of Israeli crimes in a single week reached 3,457 across various Palestinian areas.
