69,017 Israeli extremists stormed the Al-Aqsa Courtyards since October 7

The period between December 31, 2024 and January 6, 2025 witnessed bloody events in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and occupied al-Quds, while the beginning of the new year (2025) saw a continuation of the Israeli aggression, the intensity of which was no less than in previous years and manifested in ongoing crimes of genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The Media Observatory of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Israeli Crimes against the Palestinians documented the murder of 320 Palestinians during this period, and the wounding of 840 others, while the Israeli occupation forces arrested 143 Palestinians in the cities of the West Bank and occupied al-Quds. The number of Palestinians murdered since October 7, 2023, until January 6, 2025, has exceeded 46,692, while the number of injured during the same period of time has reached 115,839. The total number of Israeli crimes during the past week alone have reached 2,166 crimes, spread across the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and occupied al-Quds.

The Israeli bombings during the past seven days focused on the city of Khan Yunis, and reached the vicinity of Halima al-Saadia School in Jabalia Camp, in addition to areas in the north of Gaza City, Nuseirat and Deir al-Balah.

The occupation army also opened fire on a convoy belonging to the United Nations World Food Program further diversifying its methods to prevent the arrival of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Israeli occupation army also targeted a police station in Khan Yunis and murdered five of its members in a similar attempt to spread chaos and expose aid to theft. Palestinians monitored groups suspected of being Israeli soldiers burning Palestinian homes that survived the bombing in northern Gaza. On the other hand, the Israeli occupation threatened to bomb Al-Awda Hospital after ordering its evacuation, besieged the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia, and bombed the entrance to Al-Shifa Hospital, while the number of newborns who died due to the severe cold has reached seven.

On another note, the occupation forces murdered a journalist and a photojournalist in the Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of journalists murdered since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Strip to 202.

In occupied al-Quds and the West Bank, the occupation forces demolished 10 homes, seven of which are in al-Quds, where the number of home demolitions and land leveling operations since October 7, 2023, until the end of 2024, amounted to 439 operations. Additionally, the Israeli occupation demolished a commercial store in Bethlehem, several barns in the villages of Ramallah, and three water collection wells in Nablus and Jericho. They also confiscated five cars in Ramallah, Nablus, and Qalqilya. 

Regarding attacks on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the OIC Observatory recorded the entry of 69,017 Israeli extremists into the courtyards of the mosque from October 7, 2023 until the end of 2024, where settlers recently lit the Hanukkah menorah in the Old City in front of one of the gates of Al-Aqsa.

Meanwhile, settlers conducted 41 raids in one week in the villages and towns of occupied al-Quds and the West Bank, during which they stole a vegetable stand in Tubas and the contents of a car after assaulting its owner in Salfit. They burned seven vehicles in the village of Al-Mughayyir and between the villages of Silwad and Yabroud in Ramallah, cut down 19 olive and apple trees, and held Talmudic prayers in a number of religious shrines in Salfit. 

The number of settlement activities during the period from December 31, 2024 to January 6, 2025, amounted to six. These included placing a fence around an archaeological site in the town of Al-Auja with the aim of seizing it, allowing settlers to storm the archaeological site of Abu Al-Alaiq Hills and conducted excavations inside it. They also established two settlement outposts near the villages of Qaryut and Al-Jab’a, and plowed lands in al-Quds and Hebron in preparation for planting and confiscating them, in addition to settlers seizing an area of ​​land from the town of Yatta and bulldozing it with the aim of planting it.
